Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly not told Liverpool officials that he is keen to leave the club for Real Madrid, despite an opening offer from the Spanish champions. According to The Mirror, Alexander-Arnold has not signalled any desire to relocate to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, despite reports from the Spanish press. As Liverpool fend off Real Madrid's advances, having swiftly turned down their opening bid for their academy graduate ahead of the January transfer window, talks of Alexander-Arnold's contract renewal with Liverpool persist.
Speaking about speculation around his potential move previously, the England defender maintained that his contractual discussions with the Merseyside team will remain behind closed doors. In his own words, he explained: "I have been at the club 20 years now and I have signed four or five contract extensions... and none of those have been played out in public. This one won't be either."
