Manchester United interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has sent a powerful message to inspire his players ahead of his final game in charge against Leicester City.
The Dutchman heads into his fourth and final match as caretaker boss unbeaten after overseeing two victories against the Foxes and PAOK, as well as a 1-1 draw against Chelsea last time out in the Premier League.
But the 48-year-old will step aside for Ruben Amorim from Monday when the Portuguese tactician officially takes over as their new head coach.
Ahead of Sunday's game, Van Nistelrooy's programme notes contained an inspiring message to his players and a list of demands for them if they want to succeed at Old Trafford.
"From tomorrow, I will support our new head coach, Ruben Amorim, and I invite everyone who loves the club to do the same," Van Nistelrooy said.
"I have worked with this group every day since this summer and I can tell you that there is huge potential in these players, from the experienced executives to the youngsters coming through the academy. The coaches, the club staff and the fans all have a role to play in helping these players become the best players they can be.

"Of course, it starts with players taking responsibility for themselves and others, because playing for Manchester United requires strong character, hard work and constant dedication.
"There is no room to hide, especially in today's media environment, but this is the kind of challenge that you have to relish and embrace. Be brave, give it your all and show your talent for yourself, for the badge on your shirt and most importantly for the best fans in the world.
"Let me tell you, whether you are a player or a manager, there is nothing greater than representing Manchester United Football Club."
It is not yet known if he will be retained as part of Amorim's backroom team as the pair are reportedly set to hold talks to discuss his future when he hands over to his 39-year-old replacement on Monday.
Van Nistelrooy is a respected figure amongst the players and it was noticeable that his rapport with them appeared to be more positive than their relationship with Erik ten Hag at times.
Not many players can say they know the club better than Van Nistelrooy, after scoring 150 goals in 219 appearances as a player during his five-year spell in Manchester.
And given Amorim's absence of Premier League experience and relative youth in management terms, it may be wise to keep a United icon in his team to ensure his players understand what it means to play for the club.
