Manchester United once again find themselves in the midst of a mini-injury crisis with several first-team stars suffering from knocks, niggles and strains.

It’s just another problem for Erik ten Hag to deal with, should the Dutchman be kept on by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

But irrespective of who sits in the dugout for the Red Devils’ first game back from the international break against Brentford, United could be forced to name a patched-up starting XI.

Man Utd latest injury update

Harry Maguire

Only managing 45 minutes during United’s weekend draw against Aston Villa, Harry Maguire had to be helped off the pitch, with the defender set for a spell on the sidelines.

Commenting on Instagram, Maguire told concerned fans: “Frustrated to pick up an injury at the weekend, will be a few weeks on the sideline for me but I'll come back stronger.”

It’s claimed by The Mirror Maguire could be missing for up to four weeks - a timeframe that would rule him out of this month’s trip to face Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, as well as a visit to Chelsea in early November.

Alejandro Garnacho

Despite blowing hot and cold at times this season, United going any period of time without Alejandro Garnacho would be a concern.

Like his team-mate, Garnacho took to social media to share an update on his current fitness status, the winger explained: “I’ve had knee problems for the last two games and I won’t be able to be with the national team, but I hope to recover quickly and be on the next date [for internationals against Paraguay and Peru in November].”

Kobbie Mainoo

Similarly, Kobbie Mainoo withdrew from international duty in the aftermath of Sunday’s game, having missed the midweek contest against Porto with a fitness concern.

Mainoo had been subbed off with a suspected hamstring injury against Tottenham the week prior, before returning to Premier League action against Villa, where he managed 85 minutes.

The severity of Mainoo’s problem isn’t currently known.

Leny Yoro

Amid the chaos at Old Trafford this season, it’s easy to forget Ten Hag still has Leny Yoro to come into the XI, with the defender having joined for £59million from Lille in the summer.

Yoro was taken off with a fractured metatarsal during United’s first pre-season fixture before the Frenchman underwent surgery.

The teenager posted a photo of him running on a treadmill with the caption: “On the way back".

Noussair Mazraoui

Noussair Mazraoui was another United star hauled off at half-time of the Villa draw, with concerns the summer signing could also be forced out of action.

The ex-Bayern Munich star has pulled out of the Morocco squad for the upcoming internationals, with Ten Hag unsure how serious the problem is.

Speaking after the Villa game, he said: "We have to assess this. I can’t tell you now what the issue is. I know what the issue is but [I cannot say now] how good or bad it is.”
