Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has reportedly been left impressed by Jadon Sancho's dedication, with the winger said to have been turning up for training ahead of schedule.
Sancho earned plaudits following his role in Chelsea's narrow 1-0 triumph over Bournemouth, where he set up the only goal of the game for Christopher Nkunku after coming on as a sub.
It was an impressive cameo for the on-loan Man Utd winger, who hadn't featured in a Premier League match for more than a year.
But it's not just his on-field performance that has caught the attention of his new manager. GiveMeSport report that Maresca has been impressed with his attitude and commitment at Cobham since his deadline day switch from United earlier in September.
He had reportedly arrived for training earlier than scheduled, while also going above and beyond to introduce himself to the staff ar Cobham. This proactive approach has certainly paid off, with Maresca heaping praise on the 24-year-old after the win at Bournemouth.
"Very happy, very happy for him. He was very good," he said. "I have a feeling that Jadon is a guy that needs love. This is what I thought when I spoke with him before he joined us.
"Also I know he has the desire to show the player he is, but for me, it is just to enjoy football. This is the reason why they play. Jadon helped us a lot but what he did tonight is exactly what we expected from him. As I said, I know Jadon very good because I watched him many, many times in the past and I know what he can give us."
Chelsea are bracing themselves for a tough series of matches, with Liverpool and Newcastle on the horizon. One fixture that will undoubtedly be circled on Sancho's calendar is the upcoming battle against Man Utd at Old Trafford on November 3.
