England stumbled to a 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday evening as boos were heard from the travelling Three Lions fans in Germany after another disjointed performance. Gareth Southgate appeared to bemoan a lack of midfield options after the Euro 2024 clash.

Harry Kane scored the opening goal but it was soon cancelled out by Manchester United target Morten Hjulmund’s long-range strike. England remain in control of Group C but might have wanted to make their passage to the knockout rounds certain before facing Slovenia next week.

Elsewhere, an exuberant Spain performance saw off Italy and certified Luis de la Fuentes’ side as one of the tournament favourites. Meanwhile, France prepare for the Netherlands and we will have the latest on Kylian Mbappe's fitness.

We will have all the latest Euro 2024 news in our LIVE blog, below…

Gary Neville calls for Gareth Southgate 'change' - 'I know how this ends'

Gary Neville has called England a ‘mess’ and called on Gareth Southgate to make changes to his Three Lions team.

England lacked cohesion in their 1-1 draw with Denmark, leaving Neville concerned over their Euro 2024 prospects.

Speaking to ITV, the former Manchester United captain said: "There's an imbalance in the team, square pegs in round holes. Because of that you start to drop deep as a protective measure because you feel like you are not comfortable.

"Then the third thing occurs, which has happened to England over the years, and you can't play out through midfield and play out from the back. You end up giving the ball away and we look like a mess.

"I and we know how this ends. He has to change something now."

German police arrest alleged 'ISIS sleeper agent'

A man has been arrested in Germany on suspicion of working as a sleeper agent for ISIS.

Identified as an Iraqi national called Mahmoud A, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday in Esslingen am Neckar, close to one of the Euro 2024 host cities, Stuttgart.

Investigators claim that the man arrived in Germany in 2022. They allege that he joined ISIS in 2016.

Interior minister Nancy Faeser said: "Our security authorities are extremely vigilant, follow every tip-off and strike hard to protect our country against Islamist threats".

The arrest took place hours before Germany’s win over Hungary on Wednesday.

Gareth Southgate offers England excuse after Denmark draw

Gareth Southgate bizarrely bemoaned a lack of midfield options after England drew with Denmark.

The Three Lions boss insists he has no natural replacement for Kalvin Phillips, one of the best performers at Euro 2020.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been tried in a central position alongside Declan Rice but the more natural right-back has looked uncomfortable.

Asked about the Liverpool star, Southgate told the BBC: "We know it is an experiment - we don't have a natural replacement for a Kalvin Phillips [type of player] - but we are trying some different things.

"At the moment, we are not flowing as we would like, that's for sure."

Phillips has struggled for Manchester City and latterly on loan at West Ham, failing to make the squad for the tournament.

Southgate also opted against calling up the experienced Jordan Henderson and Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount, who has struggled with injuries over the past year.
