may be forced back to the drawing board if seal an agreement with Palmeiras for prodigious winger Estevao Willian. The Gunners, and have all been tracking the 17-year-old but all three face missing out, with the Blues willing to slap £52million on the table to get the deal done. All hope is not lost for Mikel Arteta's side, as Express Sport takes you through four alternative wide options who are, have been or should be on the club's radar...

Nico Williams

At 21 years old, Williams is already one of Athletic Bilbao's top performers, racking up four goals and 10 assists in La Liga this season. Arsenal are reportedly among a collection of clubs 'making checks' on the Spanish international.

Real Madrid, Aston Villa and Liverpool are also believed to be in the mix, but all four of the main interested parties could find it tough convincing Williams to ditch his boyhood club this summer.

Pedro Neto

The Portuguese has long been a player on Arsenal's transfer radar but his patchy injury record has so far prevented a big move unfolding. Neto has shown flashes of brilliance this season, with nine assists to his name in only 19 Premier League appearances, although he won't get the chance to add to that tally as a hamstring injury he suffered in early March will keep him sidelined until the end of the campaign.

Johan Bakayoko

The PSV Eindhoven star is going from strength to strength as a full Belgian international and one of the Dutch side's most reliable attacking stars. Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with Bakayoko who, at £43m, could end up being the cheapest player on this list.

Raphinha

Arsenal were in hot pursuit of the Brazilian before he joined Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022. His performances in Catalonia have been steady enough, but Barca's stubborn financial issues could force them to sell if the right offer arrives.

Raphinha has already shown he has what it takes to thrive in the Premier League, scoring 11 goals as Leeds scraped to survival in 2021/22, and he would bring a fresh injection of left-footed quality to Arsenal's options out wide.
