The dressing room reportedly remain unconvinced by the training methods of manager . The Argentine has come under immense criticism so far this season but appears to be turning the tide with the Blues in recent weeks.

Chelsea have endured a shaky campaign so far, with countless stars drawing criticism and the higher powers at the club being questioned for how they have constructed a squad worth over £1billion which has failed to challenge for silverware.

The Blues looked like they would be without European football next season before an upturn in form has seen Pochettino lead his side to seventh in the Premier League. Chelsea’s victories over and have raised spirits at Stamford Bridge, though it is not all rosy behind the scenes.

According to The Athletic, Pochettino’s training methods have left plenty to be desired so far this season and some figures have been ‘underwhelmed’ by how the ex-Tottenham manager has conducted his sessions.

Chelsea are set to review Pochettino’s position as manager of the club at the end of the season and securing European football, regardless of the level of the competition, could be key in the former Southampton manager convincing Todd Boehly and co that he is the right man to lead the club into next season.

The Blues boss will need to showcase that he can bring the best out of more of his players in the meantime though, with his reliance on Cole Palmer becoming a noticeable issue.

Pochettino remains insistent that he should remain in the Stamford Bridge dugout next season and revealed last week that he has had no indication that he could be replaced. He explained: “I have one year left on my contract here and if nobody says nothing, then suppose I am going to be here.

“Only if someone says to me ‘ciao’ because we don’t know. I have one year left on my contract and I am going to be here but enough is about these stupid rumours because you need to ask the club if the club want me to keep going or not.”
