seems destined for the sack after Monday's 4-0 humiliation against at Selhurst Park. None of his players showed up in South London, but three, in particular, should be among the first to follow him out of the door in the summer transfer window.

United look increasingly resigned to an eighth-place Premier League finish by the week, which would be the lowest in the club's illustrious history.

Worryingly, eight of the players who surrendered against Palace arrived under Ten Hag's watch, and Express Sport looks at least three of them shouldn't survive the summer.

Casemiro

Casemiro was forced to drop back into the defence again, with a half-fit Jonny Evans the only centre-back available for the trip to the capital.

But he regularly left the 36-year-old isolated in a shambolic display, which saw him dribbled past eight times, a record in a single Premier League match this season.

The Brazil captain has endured a woeful second season after his £70million arrival in 2022. His performance at Palace proved that it is time for him to step away from football at the top level.

At this rate, United would be lucky if there is still interest from Saudi Arabia. Removing his £350,000-a-week wages from the books would be just as valuable as the financial boost from a sale.

Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen is another midfielder widely expected to leave this summer after becoming a bit-part player in his second season.

The 32-year-old was a crucial part of Ten Hag's plans in his maiden campaign but has been limited to substitute appearances since recent weeks, where injuries have offered opportunities as a starter.

But, like Casemiro, Eriksen has proven he is no longer able to operate at the level required and must be replaced by a younger, more athletic alternative.

While Casemiro abandoned Evans, Eriksen left Kobbie Mainoo isolated, and his future would be best served away from M16.

Antony

Unlike the aforementioned duo, Antony isn't expected to leave United this summer due to the Financial Fair Play implications for making a loss on the insane £86m used to buy him two years ago.

Michael Olise scored more goals on Monday night than Antony has managed in the league all season (one). It's no surprise that INEOS have reportedly identified him as a key transfer target.

If Olise arrives, Antony must depart. He would be third in the pecking order behind the Frenchman and Alejandro Garnacho.

And if, or when, Ten Hag is sent his marching orders, United's next manager wouldn't be obliged to give him as much of a chance to come good.
