forward Kai Havertz declined to mention any players from when quizzed on which former team-mates he would like to bring to Arsenal. Havertz has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium, with unlocking his potential after an initially slow start.

Havertz has chipped in with 12 league goals for the Gunners as well as six assists, helping to keep them in the hunt for their first Premier League title in two decades. He previously spent three years at Chelsea but never really hit the heights expected of him at Stamford Bridge despite scoring the winner in the Champions League final in 2021.

In an interview with Chinese streaming service iQIYI, Havertz was asked if he would like to bring any of his former Chelsea team-mates to Arsenal but insisted he would not make any changes to the current squad.

"I don't even know, I think we have everyone here," he said. "I'm happy with the squad." Havertz was then asked if former Blues loanee Joao Felix would be a good fit at the Emirates Stadium and replied: "He's an amazing player, a quality player for sure. But yeah, I have to say that I'm happy with the squad."

Havertz appears to have found a new lease of life at Arsenal despite struggling to settle in at the start of the campaign. He has firmly established himself as a key member of the side, popping up with some important goals and putting in match-winning performances at the top of the pitch.

Arteta was full of praise for Havertz after he won a crucial penalty in Arsenal's thumping win over Bournemouth last weekend, saying: "He was unbelievable today, honestly. Everything that he did, intelligent, timing, the movements, how he keeps the ball, the way he goes to the press, how he links the play, understanding of the game.

"He was unbelievable today. That was what we were looking for and if you spend the money you better do it wisely and in the most effective way. We are really happy with the recruitment that we had, it’s had a big impact in the team."

Havertz went on to admit that he was 'so glad' to have joined Arsenal from Chelsea last summer, telling TNT Sports: "I have so many good players behind me and I really enjoy the No 9 role. We have two more games to play and we are going to give everything. We’ll enjoy those games and see how it goes.

"I enjoy every second. He [Arteta] taught me so many things, especially at the start when it was tough for me. I’m so glad I was here. Things were hard at the start but everyone stuck by me. I work hard but for me it’s not easy to go into a new team."
