American film star Anne Hathaway was left 'shaking' with delight after receiving a personal video message from Arsenal star Leandro Trossard on Monday. Less than 24 hours after her side had beaten Tottenham 3-2 in a crucial north London derby, Hathaway appeared on NBC's Today show, alongside English actor and fellow Gooner Nicholas Galitzine.

Trossard's message however, seemed to relate to last Tuesday's 5-0 win over Chelsea, where he scored the opening goal. And the 41-year-old looked shocked when she was told by the host what was coming.

"Hey Anne, I really loved your celebration the other day for my goal," he said. "Keep supporting us and hopefully see you soon at the Emirates."

Hathaway said "are you kidding me" in response, before admitting "I'm shaking." Galitzine, 29, added he was an admirer of high-profile sporting figures and was 'star-struck' by the short video.

After the win over the Blues, football emerged on social media of Hathaway and Galitzine following the clash backstage during filming for their upcoming movie The Idea of You, despite conducting a media interview at the same time. Following the Belgian forward's goal, Hathaway jumped up and shouted "oh I love you" while fist-pumping in celebration.

Explaining her reaction, she said: "Sorry, we are both fans of the same team and there is a match going on right now. It's English Premier League soccer...yes...we don't want to take up too much of your time."

The Belgian forward has become a vital component of Arsenal's Premier League title challenge this season, scoring 15 times in all competitions. He also struck in wins this month over Wolves and former club Brighton, as well as a late equaliser in the Champions League first leg draw with Bayern Munich.

And the 29-year-old's form was rewarded on Sunday as he was named in the starting XI at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Arsenal duly kept their title bid on track with after an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg putting them ahead, before Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz made it 3-0 before half-time.

The hosts responded though as goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-Min set up a frantic finish. By that point, Trossard had been replaced just after the hour mark by Gabriel Martinelli, and watched his side hold onto the three points from the dugout.
