co-owner could go down a number of routes if needs replacing this summer. The former boss is under intense pressure to oversee a strong finish to the season after Tuesday's hammering at , and failure could see him out of a job. Here, Express Sport takes you through five managers in contention...

Hansi Flick

A treble winner in 2019/20 during his time at Bayern Munich, Flick has a decorated managerial CV but he is yet to venture into the English game. The 59-year-old has been out of a job since leaving the German national team last year.

His next role may lie in London, where he set tongues wagging earlier this month by attending Chelsea's 2-2 draw at Brentford. The Blues are understood to have 'internally discussed' appointing Flick if Pochettino is given his marching orders.

Jose Mourinho

Now the bookies' favourite to come back for a third spell at Chelsea, no manager in the modern era knows the club better than Mourinho. The 61-year-old, who dubbed himself 'the special one' shortly after first landing in the Premier League 20 years ago, left AS Roma in January, freeing him up to go for a fourth Premier League title - even if his former side are currently struggling to stay in the top half.

Ruben Amorim

Linked with just about every top job in Europe, Amorim is hot property as he closes in on a second Liga Portugal title with Sporting. A move to the Premier League clearly interests the Portuguese as he jetted to London earlier this week for talks with West Ham. Liverpool are also linked, meaning Chelsea may have to move quickly if they are to secure the services of Amorim, who they reportedly placed on a managerial shortlist earlier this campaign.

Roberto De Zerbi

Alongside Amorim on the shortlist is Brighton manager De Zerbi. The Italian's attacking style of play has made him a hero on the south coast and a respected manager among Europe's elite, and he has so far resisted the Seagulls' attempts to renew his contract, which expires in 2026 and includes a £12.8million release clause.

Thomas Tuchel

If Mourinho can come back for another pop at Stamford Bridge success, why can't Tuchel? The German masterminded instant success with a Champions League triumph when he took over in 2021, but his reign was all over the following year. Although Tuchel has already been sacked once by Boehly, the Chelsea co-owner has since learned that the grass isn't always greener, and the 50-year-old may have been the right man to begin with.
