Barcelona adviser Jordi Roures says they should try for Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso.
Roures is close to Barca president Joan Laporta and feels Xabi - despite his Real Madrid ties - would be an ideal replacement for departing coach Xavi.
He told Cadena SER: "I think you have to look outside and you have to look well.
"I don't know who he can be, but you need someone with authority, with perspective, that the Barça fans has respect for him and that he endures what he has to endure. It is obvious that there must be changes in the team because we always talk about the same positions that are unguarded."
After defining this profile, Roures put the focus on Xabi: "Xabi Alonso continues to impress. His father played in Barça, so some DNA must be there.
"Having this mix is always positive."
