Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has announced Alessandro Ferrari as new general manager.
Ferrari takes the role as Fiorentina management restructure after the sudden passing of Joe Barone.
Commisso said: "I'm sorry not to be present but I will be in the next few days. Today I wanted to let you know how we will face the next commitments. It won't be easy without the person who guided everything and everyone and who let me know how things were going. Joe Barone He will remain a dear and unforgettable person for all of us and I think that the affection shown in these days is proof of how many people loved him.
"Now we must move forward and face the sporting and business challenges. For this reason I decided to maintain my rules and habits: family and trust, continuity and support. I have been doing this at Mediacom for many years. We are like a family. When I had to replace someone I always tried to give continuity to my choices.
"And I will do it now too, giving continuity to those who were in the club: Alessandro Ferrari will become general director, while Daniele Pradé will be sporting director. Both people I have known since I arrived and who will now have greater responsibility.
"They will have my total support and will have to work well. Important goals await us, with the players in front but behind all of us and all of you."
