Newcastle are signing permanently Chelsea wing-back Lee Hall.
The on-loan youngster reached his appearances target in victory over Tottenham yesterday to make the transfer permanent.
Newcastle paid £4m for the loan and will now pay a further £24m to buy Hall outright, says The Sun.
Add-ons could eventually take Hall's fee to £35m.
Howe said of the youngster: “He was always brought in with a long-term view.
“Something we just need some patience. Players develop at different speeds, but we're delighted with the progress he's made.
“We have always believed in him and his quality, and we have been working really hard with him on his game."
