Former Real Madrid midfielder Javier Balboa feels Vinicius Jr must change tact with his approach to racist barracking.
Balboa believes Vini Jr's actions will only hurt his game.
He said on El Chiringuito: "Silly and rude people are always there. Yes Vinicius is black and Rüdiger is black, they are going to mess with both of them, but if they can affect Vinicius, they will always go after him.
"There is no one leaving your house thinking of going after Vinicius. They will think of going for Vinicius, Rüdiger, Camavinga, Militao… Who is it affecting, Vinicius? Well, for that one. So he will have to work on not turning around and not facing them because in the end he is giving them food so that instead of ten there are fifty, although that does not mean that he has to denounce the insults.
"The one who is suffering and the one who is having an impact is him, not anyone else. Racism exists. Although Spain is not a racist country, you will meet any subnormal anywhere, it is evident.
"To me at thirteen or fourteen years, when I was not yet in Madrid, they made graffiti saying 'Balboa, die' on fields without security. And what did I do? I played, scored five goals, and went home. What you can't do is face everyone.
"Vinicius he has to denounce it, he has done it, perfect, and from there the League can take action, but he has to try to work it for his well-being and that of the team."
Balboa concluded: "All the people around him who live off him should tell him to stop, that he does not continue acting like this because it affects his performance and it is a shame because he has the conditions to be the number one. They have to tell him that he must focus on his diet, on his recovery, that when they tell him something he turns around and scores three goals but cannot give them ammunition.
"Now, after this (the press conference) it is going to get worse..."
