While the 25-year-old looks destined to fulfil his childhood dream and sign for La Liga giants Real Madrid, Mbappe was quizzed on whether he’d consider joining Arsenal instead. The 2018 World Cup winner’s response was short and - as far as Gunners fans are concerned - not so sweet, with him saying: “There’s no way, it’s too cold there.”

A harsh assessment of the English weather from Mbappe, but it wouldn’t be the first time rumours about him signing for the north London outfit have cropped up. In fact, Mikel Arteta was asked about it himself back in February, with the Gunners boss claiming when asked if Mbappe would want to join: “The club that we are, I don't think that's ever been an issue. Everyone wants to play for Arsenal.
“At least with the players we've discussed, they've always had a smile on their face when you open the door to that discussion. That's because of our history and everything we've done in the past. When there is a player of that calibre, we always have to be in that conversation. But it looks in a different way, that's what I would say.”
