boss is reportedly set to turn down offers from and to be a pundit at as he mulls over his next steps at the end of the season. The German coach is leaving Anfield this summer after nearly a decade in charge and is not short of options, as he plans to take a break from football.

The Daily Mail claim that both free-to-air TV stations are battling to bolster their punditry options this summer with Klopp, though he is instead expected to reject their appeals. The 56-year-old is planning to attend the European Championships as a fan in his native Germany, rooting on Julian Nagelsmann’s side.

Broadcasting insiders have claimed that the BBC have been more aggressive than ITV in their pursuit of Klopp as they believe he would be a marquee signing, desperately hoping that he can give their coverage an edge over their rivals.

But both the Beeb and ITV are likely to be disappointed as Klopp has little intention of providing analysis for UK audiences at this summer’s international tournament.

He has tickets for each of Germany’s three group games, including their opener against Scotland on June 14, and is keen to relax and enjoy some time away from the rigours of being a manager.

Klopp as he felt that his energy levels were being depleted running the Reds. "I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything,” he said in January.

"But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take. It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again."

Klopp has also been linked with a host of top managerial jobs but is expected to take a holiday and break from work rather than making TV appearances or return to the dugout. The current focus is on what is likely to be an extremely busy run-in with Liverpool.

After winning the , Klopp’s Reds are still fighting on three more fronts as they continue their journey tonight against Sparta Praha while battling the likes of and for the title in addition to the .
