boss has piqued the interest of several 'wealthier clubs' in anticipation of a managerial merry-go-round in the summer, according to reports. A number of high-profile moves could be made at the end of the season, with Jurgen Klopp's imminent Liverpool exit and Xavi's departure from Barcelona set to blow the market wide open.

Thomas Tuchel will also leave Bayern Munich when the campaign draws to a close, meaning that at least three of the world's leading clubs will be hiring new managers in the summer. The likes of Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim have been linked with moves to bigger teams as of late, while Roberto De Zerbi is also thought to be admired by many top clubs in Europe.

Postecoglou may also be impacted despite signing a four-year contract with Tottenham upon his arrival from Celtic last summer, according to The Independent. It is claimed that as many as 'three wealthier clubs' could decide to approach Postecoglou, with their interest having been 'piqued' by his strong start to life in north London.

The report does not name any clubs with a firm interest in Postecoglou, but Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern are likely to be at the front of the queue with their managers set to leave at the end of the season. Real Madrid could also be in the running if Carlo Ancelotti decides to step down from his role after three years in charge, although he signed a new contract in December.

However, it remains to be seen if Postecoglou would consider the idea of leaving Spurs after just one trophyless season at the club. He was recently quizzed on the prospect of taking over at Liverpool and insisted that he was only focused on building the right foundations at Tottenham, which is a job that could still take several years.

"I've only been here for seven months so I think that is self-explanatory," said Postecoglou. "I am at pains to say that we still have a long way to go in terms of the football we want to play, the team we want to be and the squad we want to have. We've only had two positive windows, had a decent campaign so far but we have a long way to go."

When asked directly if he will be staying at Tottenham next season, Postecoglou added: "The reality of it is that most of it is out of our hands, so I have never worried or thought about that. I have a history of 26 years of management where you can see pretty clearly what I do.

"I rely on that as my explanation as to where my thought processes are when it comes to those sorts of things. Right now it is about finishing the season strong with Tottenham and making sure we establish a strong foundation for who we want to be in years to come. That can only happen if I am totally focused."
