Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has welcomed today's ruling from the European Court of Justice in favour of the European Super League.
UEFA have been told they cannot ban clubs from competing in the rebel competition.
Florentino said: "Today the Europe of liberties has triumphed.
"From the Real Madrid we very much welcome the decision of the CJEU. In the next few days we will study the sentence in depth, but there are two clear conclusions: European club football is not and will not be a monopoly and clubs own their destination.
"We want to give new impetus to European football and fully compatible with domestic competitions. We will continue to defend a modern project, based on sports merits and that will bring economic sustainability. We will do it despite the campaigns we have suffered and we will suffer from today, But no one said it was easy to end the monopoly. We will provoke the excitement of the fans.
"Today, law, reason and freedom prevail. Just like 70 years ago when we took a step to create the European Cup. Ending a monopoly after so many decades was not going to be an easy task. I want to tell European clubs that a new time begins, where we can work freely. This day will mark a before and after for the history of our sport."
