Tottenham and Liverpool are both reportedly ‘seduced’ by the prospect of signing Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt. The striker is part of the France World Cup squad but has only appeared in one of their four matches in Qatar.

Tottenham and Liverpool will both be desperate to stamp their authority on the Premier League and the Champions League in the coming years. And the teams could be willing to splash the cash to bolster their prospects of succeeding.

According to Foot Mercato, teams in England and Italy are very interested in recruiting Kolo Muani next summer. Spurs went after the 24-year-old last summer when his time with Nantes came to an end - but he ultimately opted to move to Germany on a free transfer. But the Lilywhites are still desperate to sign the ace and held a meeting with his agent in London very recently with a view of making another move for him in the 2023 summer transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp’s team, meanwhile, are seduced by his qualities and versatility. And they too are lining up a move.

Last month, Bild reported that Frankfurt would listen to offers of just over £50million for the player. But due to his fine form and a shortage of strikers, potential suitors could now be forced to shell out as much as £69m to get their man.

Kolo Muani has bagged eight goals and 11 assists in his first 23 games for Frankfurt. And he was called up to the France squad as a late replacement for prolific RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku, who was forced out of the tournament through injury.

Kolo Muani was playing for Boulogne in France’s fourth tier three seasons ago. But his meteoritic rise to the top of the game could see him become one of the stars of the World Cup.

The talented player failed to make it off the bench during France’s first two group matches against Australia and Denmark. He then played the full 90 minutes as Les Bleus were stunned by Tunisia in their final group encounter having already qualified for the knockout stages.

Kolo Muani relinquished his starting place for France’s last 16 showdown with Poland and remained on the bench throughout the game. And he looks set to miss out on the starting line-up once again when his country take on England in the quarter-finals on Saturday. But if France are in need of a goal during the latter stages of the match, he could well be thrust into action for his chance to shine.
