Inspired by the many people I have met over the last 18 years since moving to Los Angeles, this book tells the story of my parents’ roller boogie palace in Hollywood in 1979. My parents had about five photographs saved in a small, scrappy scrap book, so after much digging around through libraries, friends, friends of friends and the internet, I gathered what I felt to be an incredible archive of material. The stories needed to be heard and, as someone who has always loved visuals, the imagery needed to be seen by more than just me and my inner circle.
