A Vietjet Air flight from Nha Trang, Vietnam, to Macau encountered smoke in the rear cabin, prompting an emergency return to Nha Trang on Jan. 3. In response to inquiries, the Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) confirmed that Vietjet Air sent another aircraft to transport the passengers. The rescheduled flight departed at 8:01 p.m. and arrived at Macau International Airport at 10:57 p.m., operating normally throughout. The AACM emphasized that safety is the industry’s top priority and conducts regular inspections of operators and aviation companies at the airport to ensure compliance and address any deficiencies.
