Sam Hou Fai confirmed the new Chief Executive-elect of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) with 394 out of the 398 ballots casted. After confirmation, the results were announced at 11:25 this morning by the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election. From a universe of 398 ballots casted, Sam collected 394 with the other four being blank votes. No null or void votes were casted. In a speech that followed immediately the announcement of the results, Sam thanked to his camp for all the work developed over the past few weeks noting that his ultimate goal is to “fulfill the wished of the citizens for a better life.” At the same opportunity, the CE-elect also promise to remain faithful to his campaign manifest and to continue to work for the progress of Macau and of China.
