Inflation up 1% in march

The composite Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the SAR for March 2024 grew 1.09% year on year, according to the information released by the SAR’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). Among the various goods and services, the price indices of recreation and culture, together with education, saw notable year-on-year growth, at 5.27% and 5.05%, respectively. The DSEC attributed this to rising charges for package tours, dearer hotel room rates, and higher university tuition fees.
