A drone show took place at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on Wednesday after two displays at the harbour, to celebrate the founding of the People's Republic of China, were called off this week because of atmospheric conditions. More than 1,000 drones ascended at the sports ground at 7pm to form patterns depicting dragons, astronauts, and pandas in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The event, which attracted crowds of residents, was originally to be held on September 22, but was postponed due to heavy rain. The show was coordinated by the Eastern District Office and other municipal organisations.
