Terry Anderson, US journalist held hostage for years by Islamic militants in Lebanon, dies age 76

Anderson, kidnapped in Lebanon in 1985 and held for nearly 7 years, was longest held of Western hostages Hezbollah abducted including Briton Terry Waite, who was trying to negotiate Anderson’s release.
