No bids submitted for MTR Tung Chung East project

The MTR Corporation said it did not receive any bids for a property development near a new station in Tung Chung. The Tung Chung East Station, which is expected to be completed in 2029, will be between Sunny Bay Station and Tung Chung Station. The tender closed at 2pm on Thursday. The project, estimated to be worth between HK$1.6 billion and HK$2.78 billion, had received 32 expressions of interest last month. Up to 1,000 flats and a shopping mall are expected to be built there.
