Sunreef Yachts has announced a major development in the construction of its Sunreef 43M Eco, set to become the largest eco-electric catamaran globally.
The shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland, recently completed the composite hull infusion process, claiming it to be the biggest single-shot hull infusion project within the yachting industry.
The Sunreef 43M Eco’s hull spans 43 metres in length and 15.4 metres in width, covering a total composite surface area of 1,700-square-metres. The hull is built with a custom-engineered foam core designed to reduce weight and enhance performance. The hull unmoulding is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
The yacht will incorporate over 120-square-metres of integrated solar panels on its hull, contributing to a total of 250-square-metres across the vessel. This solar array, combined with electric propulsion, aims to enhance energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
