Italian shipyard Otam has launched its latest model, the 28-metre Otam 90 GTS Sexy Me. The yacht reached a top speed of 45.4 knots during sea trials, surpassing the contractual 42 knots. The waterlines on Sexy Me were designed by Umberto Tagliavini and Aldo Scorzoni of Marine Design & Services, while the exterior styling was penned by Giuseppe Bagnardi from BG Design Firm.
“Celebrating our 70th anniversary with a project like the Otam 90 GTS and with a client so decisive in their requests has been the best gift we could receive,” says Matteo Belardinelli, sales and communication manager at Otam. “It was another opportunity to take on the challenge of customising a very fast boat where even shifting 50 kilograms from starboard to port can have a significant impact. These are the kinds of challenges that allow us to evolve and grow.”
The Otam 90 GTS Sexy Me is powered by two 2,600-horsepower MTU engines and Arneson surface propellers, achieving impressive performance during sea trials. Despite additional weight added due to custom features, including a rotating passerelle, stabilisers, marble throughout and a high-end stereo system, the shipyard says the yacht maintained a smooth and responsive navigation.
