Man Utd target Antony explains Ajax training absence

Ajax striker Antony has explained his absence from the first day of preseason last week.

Antony was missing as coach Alfred Schreuder took his first session since replacing Erik ten Hag.

The Brazilian's absence fueled talk of him preparing to leave for Manchester United.

But posting to social media, Antony insists he was at the Ajax training centre, but spent the day inside in the gym.

Antony is recovering from an injury collected with Brazil earlier this month.
