Banking on the success of its first crypto smartphone, Solana Mobile is looking to to unveil a second smartphone, according to a report by CoinDesk. Coming in at a cheaper price and a different hardware from the Saga, its predecessor, the upcoming phone will have the same basic features: an onboard crypto wallet, custom Android software and a “dApp store” for crypto applications. The original phone, Saga cost $1000 when it first launched last year but later saw prices reduced amid struggling sales. The new Solana Mobile phone could help calm the demand for a severely limited supply of existing Saga smartphones. Saga initially struggled to gain traction for the amongst crypto traders and NFT collectors. That changed in an instant when crypto traders realized the phone came with an allocation of BONK tokens that more than covered the price of the device. In less than a week the Saga sold out.
