Antiques Road Trip: Kate Bliss gets angry over bad deal
Kate Bliss found herself fuming after a tough bargaining session went south on a previous episode of Antiques Road Trip.
The renowned antiques guru, 50, was eager to negotiate the £85 asking price for an elegant Victorian cast iron table adorned with a white marble top.
But seller Nick, armed with a quirky decision-making gadget, put Kate in a tight spot, forcing her hand to agree on a higher price.
Entering the shop, an optimistic Kate inquired: "Hi Nick, you've got a little white marble-topped table outside. So is it something that you've had for a while that you might want to move on? ".
Nick responded, offering a price cut: "We could do £50," to which Kate countered: "Okay, well I was really hoping for £30 or £40."

Nick, producing his random answer generator, declared with amusement: "I had a feeling you were going to come up with something like that.
"This is going to be the executive decision maker. So we've got all our answers. Definitely, ask again, never, why not, possibly or forget it."
A concerned Kate exclaimed: "Forget it? Oh no. I hope it doesn't land on that one. So whatever this decides then, is that whether you'll come and meet me at £40 maybe? Otherwise I'll have to come up to £50? Alright. Give it a whirl and see what happens."
The device spun through options only to disappointingly stop on "forget it."
Reacting with dismay as Nick chuckled, Kate lamented: "Oh no, we're back to the £50. I'm awfully sorry. We'll do £45."
An exasperated Kate retorted: "£45? Oh you're killing me Nick!" while he offered apologies: "I'm awfully sorry!"

Kate has appeared on a number of BBC shows alongside Antiques Road Trip, including Flog It! and Bargain Hunt.
The TV presenter has always had an interest in antiques and was the only female auctioneer at her local saleroom in her early career.
Her father owned his own saleroom when she was growing up and Kate could often be found rummaging for treasure. She explained: "I think a lot of the antiques business is in the blood.
"So many traditional dealers impart their knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation, and so the tradition continues. My father certainly taught me how to auctioneer and command the room.
"My parents love antiques and quirky objects and their passion has rubbed off on me. I also loved studying the craftsmanship of pieces and the history behind them."
