GMB: Adil Ray comments about Luke Littler's weight
Good Morning Britain presenter Adil Ray came under fire from viewers after making comments about darts player Luke Littler's appearance.
The 50-year-old hosted Thursday's instalment (January 2) of the ITV programme alongside Kate Garraway, with the duo updating viewers with the latest headlines across the UK.
This included Luke, 17, defeating Nathan Aspinall 5-2 to make the semi-finals of the World Darts Championship.
After showing a clip of the athlete's recent performance, Adil began to say something he felt "might not be very popular."
Adil continued: "I'm a little bit worried about Littler. He's 17 and he's turning into the look of a darts player."
The presenter suggested Luke's parents should be concerned about his weight, adding: "Look at him! He's admitting to having pizzas before a match. I'd be a bit worried."

Kate, 57, questioned why her co-star is worried as Luke is "so successful".
Adil responded: "He's going to get more successful and he can keep on doing it but I don't want him to get too unhealthy."
Kate laughed before suggesting Adil head over to Luke's with a carrot, quipping: "See how that goes down." The game show host exclaimed: "Just before the final. Here you go, I've got a salad for you from Pret."
The comments sparked fury amongst viewers who accused the ITV star of "fat shaming" the teenager.
One fumed: "Disgusted with Adil Ray fat shaming a 17 year old on #gmb this morning!"

A second agreed: "Adil Ray just casually fat shaming a 17 year old kid on Good Morning Britain, should be ashamed."
Echoing this, another wrote on X: "@GMB your hosts fat shaming Luke Littler, a 17-year-old boy, is unacceptable and unnecessary. Clearly a bitter and unhappy new year for Adil and Kate."
A fourth angry viewer demanded an apology from Adil, declaring: "I can't believe the body shaming by Adil Ray on this morning's GMB about Luke Littler. This programme will have carried disapproving items on body shaming in the past. Leave the young lad alone. Would he have said that about a woman? I think an apology is in order."
A further fan added: "Adil Ray fat shaming a young sports star... 'Here have a salad'."
