Yin speaks about her time on The Traitors

Yin Lu was the first faithful to be axed from the new Traitors series after a brutal vote saw her exit the show early doors. Following her departure, she took to the BBC Breakfast to break her silence on what really went down.

The TV star had been discussing being "kicked out" and this year's shock twist which saw her and another two contestants have to decide who would leave the programme in just ten minutes or risk losing loads of the prize money. The longer they took to decide the more the cash dwindled away.

Getting to the bottom of why Yin thought she'd ended up being the first to go, host Charlie asked: "Why do you think you're the first to be kicked out?"

The reality star told him: "I think I am terrible at analysing myself because I am very biased. I must have projected more confidence and more. I think people have called me smart but I don't believe that myself but I must have come across as intelligent and very observant more than I would have liked to have come across if that makes sense."

Naga interrupted, adding her own belief on why Yin didn't go far in the competition. The presenter told her: "Do you know I think one of your mistakes was telling them you were a doctor of communication."

"I didn't though," replied Yin as Naga chirped back: "I thought they knew." The TV star explained: "No, I only told those in the confessional that's where it came out behind the scenes."

Shocked that the other contestants didn't actually know Yin's day job, Naga quizzed: "What did you tell them then? The traitors star replied: "I didn't mention anything about my qualification or where I worked."

Meanwhile over on X - formerly known as Twitter, fans had plenty to say about the interview and more so that the BBC had opted to reveal a number of spoilers before viewers even had a chance to watch.

Yin dropped a huge spoiler on the show

Naga and Charlie had pre-warned fans that they were about to drop a huge spoiler as Yin graced BBC screens but many online folk were left incredibly unhappy about it as they took to their keyboards to pen the very same complaint.

One person wrote:"#bbcbreakfast Even with a spoiler alert they have the person from #Traitors on the couch therefore you need to change channel. Mental!!!"

Another echoed: "BBCBreakfast What's the point of having her on, if it's only to tell everyone she was eliminated? Isn't that a spoiler? Also she's slightly annoying."

A third agreed, sharing the very same sentiment: #BBCBreakfast they tell us who the traitors are on the show lol.. no guessing then." As a fourth added sarcastically: "Thanks for the spoiler alert and not ruining the show, along with an eye rolling emoji."

Others also found the interview to be quite "cringe" claiming Yin was "milking her five minutes of fame", more comments read:#BBCBreakfast This #traitors interview is pure cringe," and "The whiff of desperation for fame was strong #traitorsuk #yin #bbcbreakfast."

A third person penned: "Jeez, that was an awkward encounter with #TheTraitors'contestant". Like the visual equivalent of rubbing polystyrene," as another said: "She's milking this for 5 mins of fame ffs #BBCBreakfast."

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One
