Strictly Come Dancing presenter Fleur East has teased a professional dancer is set to make a major comeback in 2025.

The beloved It Takes Two host – who is set to host the National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash at the OVO Wembley Arena – competed on the BBC ballroom series back in 2022 alongside her co-star Vito Coppola.

After joining the cast on the nationwide tour in 2023 and welcoming her daughter Nova 12 months later, she went on to become a co-host on the BBC spin-off show following Rylan Clark’s exit.

The 37-year-old presenter has quickly become a firm favourite amongst fans for her quick wit and cheeky sense of humour. Now, the mum-of-one has teased a potential return for one Strictly star after taking a two-year break from the reality programme.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the brunette beauty teased that fans could possibly see Aljaz Skorjanec return to the dancefloor.

Loyal fans will remember that the Slovenian dancer stepped back from the programme in 2022 ahead of the birth of his first child with co-star Janette Manrara.

Last year, the 34-year-old returned to the programme where he was paired with former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri for the 20th anniversary series, which saw them storm to the finals.

She told us: “He could do, I mean he got all the way to the final and it was an incredible journey with him and Tasha, and I think people loved having him back.

“So yeah, hopefully we’ll see more of him.” Viewers will have to stay tuned to see if the doting dad will return to the dancefloor later this year.

The Hits radio presenter went on to lift the lid on some of the show’s best kept secrets. Fleur revealed that the star-studded judging panel get to watch the contestants perform during the dress rehearsals hours before competing on the live show.

She explained: “I think they see the dress run on the day, but that’s the only thing they get to see ahead of time.” The former X Factor star reflected on what it was like to follow the show as a presenter rather than as a contestant.

Fleur went on: “I do miss the performance side of it, like I loved dancing in the ballroom on a Saturday night. I missed that element of being in the competition.

“But I do love now being able to just watch all of it happen and see the magic come to like. What I enjoyed most is seeing all the rehearsal and training footage before the live show.

“It's one of my most favourite things, because we get to see everything before the live show on Saturday, before anyone else sees it. And being a big fan of the show, it’s just really fun.”

It comes as Fleur East prepares to host the star-studded New Year's Eve party alongside her co-host Vernon Kay. Fans will see performances from musicians including Craig David, Perrie Edwards, Ella Henderson and Olly Alexander to name a few.

Speaking about the show, she reflected on all the amazing work that was done over the past 12 months. Fleur gushed: "It was just nice to look over all the amazing moments we've had through the year and celebrate some of the people that have been doing some amazing work for their communities as well.

"Because it's not just a party for everyone for New Year's Eve, it's actually looking over at the organisations and the people that have done amazing with with the funding that the National Lottery gives out to charities and organisations.

"So it was cool to learn about that because you don't think when you buy a lottery ticket about that side of it. There's actually a lot of people that it helps."

The National Lottery's New Year's Eve Big Bash is set to air on ITV1 from 5.45pm or catch up on ITVX.
