A landmark moment unfolded on Escape To The Country today, as host Jules Hudson completed a show first.
In a brand-new instalment aired today, Jules Hudson addressed viewers ahead of a fresh adventure on the popular BBC series. Greeting viewers, he disclosed his excitement to be in Scotland's stunning Highlands.
Jules opened the episode by sharing: "Today, we're in Caithness in Scotland's magnificent Highlands. A land of glistening Lochs and vast wilderness. This vast scenery is a part of everyday life to those who call it home.
"I have never been this far north in the UK; this is a part of Scotland I've never seen before and I cannot wait to see what it has to offer and let's be honest, when you look around, it's simple to see why it's so tantalising."
Further emphasizing the allure of the remote place, he mentioned: "There is no one here, if you're thinking about splendid isolation, this has got it. So let's now meet today's buyers who are hoping to make their very own Scottish escape. When I say escape, think of that in bold and underlined twice, because quite frankly, short of buying their own island, they are undertaking one of the most extreme escapes I've ever seen."

The episode featured Sam and James, a couple eager to relocate from Bromyard, Herefordshire to the expansive wilds of Scotland, reports Wales Online.
Their love for Scotland was palpable, as Sam expressed: "I absolutely love Scotland. I love the vastness of it. I love the ruggedness of it," while James envisioned a greener lifestyle for their family: "We want to be more self-sufficient, more friendly to the environment, and so the kids have more space to play and enjoy life."
James, who works six days a week in Bristol, and Sam, who spends her weekends working at the rugby club, found their time with their children limited so they hatched a plan to relocate to Scotland and start a livestock farm.
With a budget of £270,000, they sought a detached three-bedroom property. Their dream home would feature a spacious kitchen diner and ample outdoor space, all within a 30-minute drive to school.
The couple viewed several properties, but it was the mystery house in Occumster, Caithness that stole their hearts. Listed for offers over £215,000, this detached bungalow offered an open-plan kitchen diner, three bedrooms, and sweeping views of the countryside. With two acres of land, it ticked all their boxes.
By the end of the show, it was revealed that James and Sam planned to make an offer on the house after reviewing the housing report.
