The live tour of The Repair Shop has reportedly been forced to cancel three dates in 2025. This comes after allegations that the show's reputation has been "damaged" due to charges against host Jay Blades, who was recently accused of controlling and coercive behaviour.
Despite pleading not guilty in court, Blades was dropped from the BBC show and its live tour after seven years as the face of the programme. However, even with Blades' removal, ticket sales have reportedly been sluggish, leading to the cancellation of shows in Newcastle, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
A spokesperson for the show cited "unforeseen scheduling issues" as the reason for the cancellations, according to The Sun, and expressed hopes of visiting these locations later in 2025. Yet, a source revealed to the publication that tickets "haven't exactly been selling out".
On the O2 City Hall website in Newcastle, where one of the cancelled events was set to occur, a message now states: "The Repair Shop Live: Secrets From The Barn. Sorry, this show has been cancelled and there aren't any plans to reschedule."
The notice advises ticket holders to seek refunds and further information from their original point of purchase, reports the Mirror.

Blades found himself before the courts in October, facing accusations of controlling and coercive behaviour towards estranged wife, Lisa Zbozen.
Having been granted bail in September, ahead of his trial, the backdrop to this was a relationship solemnised in a grand seaside ceremony in Barbados back in November 2022 that seemed to unravel rapidly.

Lisa signalled the collapse of their 18-month union in May, revealing a steady decline post-nuptials.
Her heartfelt reveal on social media came on May 2: "I have been quiet until now, but the papers seem to be picking up this story, but some parts have been definitely missed, so it's forced my hand... this was the whole post on a private forum: I don't know how to say this because it's still really raw."
In a public outpouring of grief, she wrote, "I probably should be really angry but I'm just incredibly sad about the whole thing right now. I don't think I've ever cried so much. I wanted my husband to love me and keep me safe, and I would love him right back, but it just got worse and worse, until I grabbed a bag of a few things and I just left. Anyway, That's why there's been no new workouts."
