Coleen Rooney has candidly confessed to "biting her tongue" on several occasions during her time on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Here!.

The 38-year-old revealed she avoided potential spats in camp following advice from her husband of 16 years, Wayne Rooney.

Ahead of finding out that she had finished in second place, Coleen sat down with presenters Ant and Dec and shared what she had learned about herself from her time in the jungle.

She reflected: "I've learnt that I can be patient...my kids might not say that, but. There's been times in there, you know...no-one's annoyed me, but there's been certain things when I've wanted to step in, but I've just let it be."

After McFly singer Danny Jones was crowned King of the Jungle, Coleen revealed some pivotal advice she received from her footballer husband Wayne during an appearance on the ITV2 spin-off show Unpacked.

Discussing whether the public saw the real her, Coleen said: "I should hope so, being on the telly 24/7! If I was going to break or going to snap, it would be in there. And I'm surprised I didn't."

She added that Wayne had advised her: "That is one of the things Wayne said - 'don't take off on anyone in there'."

Final voting figures for the show disclosed that Danny garnered a striking 55.21% of the final vote, leaving Coleen as runner-up with an impressive 44.79%.

On Monday (December 9), Coleen appeared on Good Morning Britain where she discussed her jungle experience with presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid.

Opening up about her decision to sign up to the show, Coleen expressed: "I felt ready to give it a go. It was a challenge for myself to take myself away from my family, and I don't regret anything now after coming out."

With former professional footballer Wayne unable to join Coleen in Australia, the pair are keenly awaiting their reunion when she returns to the UK.

In a conversation with Richard and Susanna, Coleen revealed the first thing her husband said when she spoke to her.

"He just said how much he missed me, how proud he was and that the support back home has been unbelievable," the mum-of-four explained. "He just can't wait to see me and I can't wait to see him as well."
