This Morning's Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard in hysterics at picture of co-stars kissing

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard couldn't contain their laughter on Tuesday's edition of This Morning. The giggles erupted following a nostalgic glimpse at a photo showing two ITV colleagues sharing a kiss.

In conversation with Vanessa Feltz and Nick Ferrari, the presenters discussed a startling survey indicating that as many as 11.6 million Britons might stray during the holiday season, with work Christmas parties being the prime culprit.

Vanessa expressed her shock at the findings, commenting: "The moral of the story is do not! Even if it seems like a fabulous idea at the Christmas party after 15 Pina Coladas, even if you've really fancied Joe from accounts all year round, don't do it because it's the worst possible thing!".

Cat concurred, delving further into the survey's insights, revealing that a third of respondents don't consider an office romance to be infidelity.

Turning to Nick for his perspective, he too was taken aback, especially by the notion that a festive smooch wasn't deemed unfaithful, reports the Mirror.

Vanessa interjected, arguing that such public indiscretions wasn't the best idea due to the multiple onlookers, she cautioned: "You shouldn't do it at all! But, if you're going to do it don't flag it up at the Christmas party."

Nick then playfully warned Vanessa about thin ice, reminiscing over their own encounter at an awards event, he said: "We absolutely snogged! Do you remember? That picture was taken, you'll never get it in time."

Vanessa, in jest, refused to confirm any memories of the incident with Cat and Ben, quipping: "Do I remember it? I'm not going to comment, never going to comment."

The panel moved on to speaking about people getting creative with their Elf on the Shelf ideas as a string of clips and images were shown.

However, it seemed as though the production team were on the ball as they quickly found the snap of Vanessa and Nick locking lips.

Ben couldn't resist teasing: "We've got some cunning little elves here because we've found the picture!"

Both Vanessa and Nick were taken aback, shouting out as Cat and Ben erupted into giggles. Ben playfully remarked: "Ferrari and Feltz, together like we always knew they would be."

Hiding her face, Vanessa had earlier vowed to deny the photo's existence, but as it flashed on screen, she couldn't help but exclaim: "Oh stop it! " Meanwhile, Nick was thoroughly amused, chuckling away at the situation.

Cat then redirected the audience, saying: "We were going to head back to the forest, but just take another look! We'll see you after the weather."
