BBC Breakfast viewers were left scratching their heads on the recent show due to a technical issue. Presenters Sally Nugent and Jon Kay were greeting the nation with global news updates on the December 10 broadcast when Welsh audiences were left out in the lurch.
A message popped up on the screen, reading: "Due to technical issues we are unable to bring you Wales Today." This tech snag sent viewers flocking to social media to voice their confusion.
On X, which was previously known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: "What's happened to BBC Wales today? Good news for the South East and London though #BBCWales #BBCBreakfast? "
Another commented: "Is there no news worthy of report in Wales today? " A third suggested, perhaps jokingly: "Have we tried switching Wales off and on again? " And a fourth queried: "Where is the Wales regional news on BBC 1 today? ".
Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood also found herself at the centre of attention during Monday's (December 9) programme, as she was quizzed by her colleague about the chances of a white Christmas.

After delivering her weather segment, Carol fielded Jon's early question about the festive forecast with a cheeky response: "On the 26th!"
Jon inquired: "What if we have plans before the 26th? Seriously when do you get a clue about what's it's going to be..." To which Carol responded, "It's really too far ahead to say yet if you're asking if it's going to be a white Christmas. Five days out you'll get a better idea."
Sally praised Jon’s persistence with, "Carol, Jon has been building up to ask that question all morning but he's been so scared to ask you," as Jon interjected, "All year!".
