The 1% Club: 20 people eliminated on 90% question
Lee Mack returned to screens on Monday night (December 9) with the first of four special editions of his ITV quiz show The 1% Club which will run nightly until Thursday.
The popular programme is usually broadcast on Saturday nights but has since had a schedule shake-up. Fans who had been missing their fix of the programme eagerly tuned in but soon identified a problem claiming the questions were "easy".
Taking to X @DeaconCerri observed: "These seem easy tonight. Unless when it was on, on Saturdays I had one to the many drinks #The1PercentClub." @TgmFin agreed writing: "All of these questions are ridiculously easy tonight! #The1PercentClub"
@philm2244 felt the same just minutes into the show posting: "First three are really easy. C'mon question setters. Its hardly Mastermind is it. #the1percentclub."
While the earlier questions are always easier, as the format of the show means they gradually get more difficult, viewers also felt the 1% question was simple on tonight's show.
@AnnieFoster13 fumed: "Even this 70+ granny got that in seconds. Toooo easy! #The1PercentClub."
@DavidJosephLaw2 bragged: "P*** easy that last question. All the had to do was count the T’s and add another one. #The1PercentClub."
@toonpete85 alsofelt it wasn't challening writing: "That was an easy 1% question, well done to the winners though! #the1percentclub."
Meanwhile @j11_lee opined: "That final question was ludicrously easy for a 1% question! #The1PercentClub."

The 1% question asked: "If you double the number of times the word triple appears, how many t's would there be in this question?"
The answer simply involved counting the number of t's in the sentence and adding one.
The final question is supposed to be at a level that can only be answered by one percent of people - hence the show's title.
The 1% Show continues on ITV and ITVX on Tuesday December 10.
