Strictly: Miranda Hart surprises Sarah at training session
Strictly Come Dancing fans were ecstatic as Miranda Hart unexpectedly popped up on Saturday night's live show (November 30).
The 51-year-old actress and comedian recently revealed her prolonged battle with a chronic illness, stating she had been 'bedbound for years'.
Miranda shared her ordeal, explaining how she was trapped at home for a lengthy period due to Lyme disease that was not diagnosed in time, which escalated into chronic fatigue syndrome. She recalled hitting "hit rock bottom" following a "collapse" after her beloved BBC sitcom, Miranda, concluded in 2015.
"I was housebound and bedbound for years," she divulged. "I didn't have a job, I didn't have a social life. I didn't have any responsibilities or identities."
On Saturday night, eagle-eyed viewers caught sight of Miranda in the Strictly audience, where she was rooting for her Miranda co-star Sarah Hadland during musicals week, reports the Mirror.

She wasn't on her own as Patricia Hodge, who plays her mother on-screen, was there too, both lending their support to Sarah and her dance partner Vito Coppola as they delivered a performance inspired by the musical Wicked.
The sighting sent fans into a frenzy as they flocked to social media to share their excitement.
"Loved seeing the Miranda cast in the audience" one fan commented, while another, referencing a well-known gag from the sitcom, wrote: "Miranda Hart and Patricia Hodge in the house! Such fun."
"Miranda Hart is in the audience? Hell yeah, we might get a Miranda reunion again like when she turned up to Sarah and Vito's dance rehearsals!" another excited viewer shared. Meanwhile, another couldn't hold back their enthusiasm, penning: "MIRANDA HART AND PATRICIA HODGE IN THE AUDIENCE AHHH."
Another ecstatic Strictly fan shouted out: "OMG MIRANDA AND PENNY", and yet another contributed saying: "Omg yes. Miranda is in the audience! I am gassed #Strictly."
The sighting of Miranda in the audience of Strictly comes hot on the heels of I'm A Celebrity's GK Barry admitting how much the comedian's sitcom changed her life.
The 25-yearold podcaster opened up about her tough times at school, revealing she would "used to watch box sets of Miranda to learn how to be funny."
