Fans of Strictly Come Dancing made the same demand just minutes into this evening's show as they called for a pro without a partner to become a permanant fixture. BBC viewers said that they were "screaming" as dancer Carlos Gu made a surprise appearance in the opening sequence on Saturday night (November 30).
This week was Musicals Week and the professional dancers came together to perform a number from Little Shop of Horrors. Carlos was dressed as a green plant as he wore drag make up with his legs on show.
Fans were delighted with his costume as they branded him the "best dressed" of the season. Others said that they were "screaming" as they pleaded with show bosses to ensure that the 31-year-old Chinese dancer had a celebrity partner on the show next year.
Posting to X/Twitter, one user wrote: "Carlos has def won best dressed this series #Strictly". Another added: "I mean, we were all gutted when Carlos didn't get a partner but boy that man kept GIVING this series #strictly."
A third person shared: "Carlos: The Serve King: Carlos didn’t come to play; he came to SERVE the entire menu tonight!"
Someone else begged: "Carlos as the Little Shop of Horrors plant was EVERYTHING!! He needs a partner again next year!!" With another echoing: "Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fun that is Carlos Gu? [Fingers crossed emoji] he gets a partner next year! Such a talented and upbeat guy #StrictlyComeDancing #strictly."
One more user added: "I am SCREAMING. Carlos is EVERYTHING #strictly."
Off-screen, Carlos, 33, is reportedly embroiled in some drama with his co-star, Nancy Xu, 34. They are reportedly not on speaking terms and have even unfollowed each other on social media.
The childhood friends from China are said to be at odds over the fact that Carlos was not assigned a celebrity partner this year, while Nancy was paired with Shayne Ward.

A source told the press: "The feud between Nancy and Carlos is really sad and has left everyone really shocked. They've been close since childhood, but have fallen out and unfollowed each other on socials."
They continued: "The atmosphere on set is said to be awkward and tense when both are around, and to many it was a relief when Carlos didn't attend the show weeks ago.
"Carlos is said to be subdued after the falling-out and is also struggling with not getting a celebrity partner. His friends are worried about him as he is so far away from his family."
