Strictly: Tasha's cochlear implant falls out during performance
Strictly Come Dancing returned on Saturday night (November 30) for Musical's Week, and the pressure was on during the show's quarter-finals. From the likes of numbers from Wicked, West Side Story and Anything Goes, there was a lot to get excited for as the celebrities and their professional partners headed to the dance floor for some technical numbers.
However, viewers spotted a glaring error during Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec's performance.
The dancing duo performed an Argentine Tango to Ex-Wives from Six, but despite their flawless routine, fans spotted an issue with Tasha that could have impacted the Love Island star's dance.
As she was spun to one side, the dancer's cochlear implant appeared to have fallen out of her ear.
Tasha was born deaf and received a cochlear implant—a small electronic device that helps her hear—when she was five years old.
Viewers reacted on X as they took to the micro-blogging site, with one sharing: "I gasped when I noticed Tasha’s cochlear implant came loose, I can’t imagine what that felt like both in the physical sensation but to knock your focus, but she kept going like it was nothing #strictly."
Another commented: "Tasha’s cochlear implant coming out mid performance, her smoothly putting it back in and smashing a performance like that?! She is in a league of her own! Those legs #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."
A third gasped: "I didn't even notice omg. That makes that routine even more incredible. What a queen."(sic)
A fourth added: "That must have been hard," while another said: "That's unfortunate."

Following their performance, Tasha could be heard telling Aljaz her cochlear came out, to which he replied: "I know, I know."
Speaking to host Tess Daly, Aljaz said: "The implant came out for a couple of seconds."
She replied: "Oh no! Did you get it back in?"
An out of breath, Tasha assured: "Yes."
Despite the on-air error, the judges praised their routine, with judge Motsi Mabuse stating, "she will never stop celebrating Tasha," while Anton said it was "outstanding".
