BBC Breakfast: Naga Munchetty asks for 'calm'
Naga Munchetty called for 'a bit of calm' in the BBC Breakfast studio this morning (November 30).
The presenter was appearing alongside her regular co-host Charlie Stayt on the Saturday programme. They had just shown pictures of dogs at Battersea that needed homes for Christmas when her demand came.
Charlie had offered some further detail on the pictures appearing on-screen, going in-depth about the history behind a footstool that one of the dog's minders had his feet up on, which had been covered with curtains from Buckingham Palace.
"Yeah, I like detail," Naga began before making her request.
"I tell you what, we need lots of detail at the moment with the weather," she asked as she turned to weather presenter Sarah Keith-Lucas, shifting out of the dogs segment.

"Things have been changing Sarah," she continued, waving around her arm as she pressed the meteorologist for 'a bit of calm' with the forecast.
"I think people really would appreciate a bit of calm, I think," she said.
The moment came just minutes after BBC Breakfast viewers shared their own demand for the programme. Fans of the show were left disgruntled over a long apology that was broadcast in the middle of this morning's show (November 30) and addressed a series of blunders with the BBC's weather coverage.
A weather glitch that occurred weeks ago was finally addressed, which saw hurricane-force winds forecast in error on the BBC Weather app. Meanwhile, a separate mistake saw a duplicate weather report broadcast twice across two days.
BBC Weather's senior news editor had a thorough apology for viewers and reassured them the issues wouldn't happen again. However, many watching the programme were irked that so much air-time was given to the issue which had since been resolved.
"What a load of weather Karens", complained one viewer, as another jumped to the defence of the BBC, writing: "I think the bbc weather is the best and the presenters are great."
"My contempt for Newswatch grows by the day. To think the tv licence is increasing next year. What an absolute disgrace," fumed another.
