Strictly: Ore predicts that Chris will be the next elimination

Presenter Ore Oduba, a former Strictly Come Dancing winner, made a surprising statement on BBC's It Takes Two, revealing who he thinks might be in danger of elimination this weekend.

On Friday's episode of the BBC show It Takes Two, presenter Fleur East was joined by Blue Peter's Sarah Greene, comedian Suzi Ruffell, and TV host Ore. The three guests shared their candid opinions on the competition and the remaining contestants.

However, when asked which couple might be in the dance-off and potentially sent home this weekend, Ore sparked controversy with his response.

He suggested that Chris and his dance partner Dianne Buswell could be at risk, explaining: "I'm here representing the musical theatre community."

"If you come out on telly, on record saying you hate musicals, you're asking for trouble!"

Holding up a placard of Chris and Dianne, Ore continued: "No, I think they're an amazing pair. It's just the kind of thing that when you're so behind someone, people kind of think that they don't need to vote," reports the Mirror.

"So you've got to make sure you vote for people you want to see next week!" However, Ore's bold stance was met with confusion from the panel, who gasped at his remarks.

Viewers on social media platform X also expressed their disagreement, with one frustrated fan writing: "Ore talking absolute nonsense, people won't stop voting for Chris for making a joke comment about not liking musicals ffs."

Viewers have been voicing their opinions online after the latest Strictly Come Dancing Friday panel session. One keen observer noted: "Friday panel has spoken: it is Pete and Jowita 2 - Chris and Dianne 1. The latter because Chris said he hates musicals.."

Others resonated with Ore's sentiment, as a fan expressed concern online: "Ore saying on the Friday panel that he thinks Chris could be leaving this week as people will assume he's getting all the votes and not vote for him... Yeah THIS is exactly what we can't let happen!!"

Chris, the show's first blind contestant, alongside his dance pro-Dianne, have been soaring high through this year's season of Strictly, captivating audiences along the way.

This is despite Chris revealing his initial dread about competing, admitting to past refusals when approached by the BBC, stating candidly: "It terrified me. I don't mind stretching myself, but I have to know something's possible."

It Takes Too airs weeknights at 6:30pm on BBC Two
