Amanda Owen admits farmhouse renovation has been 'difficult'
Our Yorkshire Farm and now Our Farm Next Door star Amanda Owen has issued an update to her fans after her new show was pulled off air.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess and mum-of-nine has been starring in a new series on Channel 4’s More 4 called Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.
The series charts the now famous Yorkshire farming family on their quest to do up an old farm building called Anty John’s, and create a permanent home for the Owen clan, despite mum Amanda’s separation from dad Clive.
But fans were dismayed when they found the new episodes were no longer showing at 9pm on Mondays despite only five being broadcast so far.
@eimart77 said: “Love your show but hasn’t been on More 4 the last two Mondays when is it back on the TV?”
@lisa_ward said: “Will we have more of Our Farm Next Door. Loved it xx”
@barbaracartmer said; “Why have they only shown 5 episodes of your new show.”
@_mrs.h said: “When is the next episode on TV?”
Now Amanda has published a fresh photo of the old buildings on her Instagram as the Ravenseat farm endures an icy blast of weather.
She captioned it: “Fresh, bright and bitterly cold from dawn til dusk.”
In a second post an hour later, she showed a photo of her eldest son Reuben lost in thought about what’s happened so far, adding: “A moment to reflect and then time to kick up your heels.”
Fans of the Owen clan will be glad to hear that Channel 4 has confirmed that the show will indeed be ‘kicking on’ in the new year, with five more episodes to air in 2025.
Channel 4 said: “Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids is a 10 (episodes of) 60 (minutes) commission for More4, airing as two (five-episode) series. It was commissioned by Jayne Stanger, commissioning editor, Lifestyle, and Jo Street, Channel 4’s Head of Lifestyle. The series is made by Leeds-based Wise Owl Films, the team behind More4’s Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives.”
