I'm A Celeb: Melvin 'playing up to the cameras' says friend
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here's Melvin Odoom "looks tired" and has visibly aged since entering the jungle according to Joel Dommet and Sam Thompson. They made the observation speaking with Will Best on ITV2 spin off show Unpacked.
Big Brother host Will commented that Melvin, 44, had been having a tough time leading both men to share their thoughts.
"He looks like he’s aged, he looks tired," last year's King Of the Jungle Sam opined. "The beard’s growing out a little bit as well and you can see the utter defeat he’s got in his eyes when he looks at Dean [McCullough], like, ‘You’re not gonna do anything’."
Joel agreed with this comment chiming in:"Like he’s a raging bull just sat there. Most people come away looking younger – Melvin looks 80 years old."
Their remarks come after radio host Melvin's friends claimed he is playing up for the cameras in the jungle.
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine, Melvin's radio co-host Rickie Haywood-Williams, along with Melvin's sister Yonah Odoom, divulged details about his history with the ladies.
Stand-in host Ranvir Singh probed Rickie about whether Melvin is as charming off-screen as he appears on. "OK, boy to boy, does he have any rizz?" she asked.
"He's very, very smooth. He's a smooth operator," revealed the fellow radio personality.
"Because he was trying out this chat up line potentially on Tulisa like Tulisa was trying to do the maths. She was trying to be Carol [Vorderman] and he tried to go over to her and they were like, 'No, you're rubbish.' What is his chat like? Is he good with girls?" she persisted.
This led Rickie to respond: "You know what, I think he was playing up to the camera a little bit, because Melvin is all about dates, he loves the art of dating.
