Danny Jones’ McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher thinks the star is showing a different side of himself to viewers on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The 38-year-old musician, who is currently appearing on the hit ITV show, was recently voted camp leader alongside Barry McGuigan and has quickly become a fan favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle.
Now, Tom believes Danny being in the jungle is the perfect chance to show his true personality to the public.
The dad-of-three, 39, told the Metro: "He’s been my best friend since we were 16/17. We’ve grown up with each other so I’ve known for most my life that he is the most awesome human being I’ve ever met.
"I love that now all of the campmates and everyone watching is getting to see that side of him as well."

Tom doesn’t think Danny is too focused on winning but says being involved in such a legendary show is an honour. He added: "But I don’t know if he feels the pressure. You can’t go into any of these shows expecting to win. [They are] iconic British institutions and we all feel very lucky we are in a position that we get asked to be part of them."
Although he hasn’t been in taken part in the show himself, Tom competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, while his wife, Giovanna Fletcher, was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2020. His McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter also won the 11th season of the hit ITV show back in 2011.
After they were voted camp leaders, Danny and Barry sparked tension in the jungle after assigning Jane Moore to cleaning duty, which she later accused them of being "sexist" and "ageist." Their ruling came after the public had decided that both Danny and Barry take over from Alan Halsall and Tulisa Contostavlos.
After learning her fate, the 62-year-old, who has been paired with Tulisa, 36, quickly asked: "Is that because we're women?"
Barry denied gender played a role in the decision, explaining: "We were looking at you for possible water, and I thought that you're 62 years old, you're a year younger than me," which left Jane fuming.
However, it wasn’t the only clash that created tension in camp, as Alan Halsall also butted heads with Dean McCullough.
After the camp had their feast, Dean took a nap but was later awoken by camp leader Alan who needed him to collect firewood alongside Jane. When a sleepy Dean barely stirred, the soap star asked him: “You don’t fancy it? No?” before walking away.
Alan then went to help Jane himself, as camp rules stated that she couldn’t do the chore alone. Dean then followed and told the soap star he could “go back now.” The actor responded: “I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could,” to which the Northern Irish presenter shot back: “Listen to me. If you’re going to wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright?
“It takes me a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, all right?
“So you don’t need to turn around to me and say: ‘Do you not fancy it?’ OK? And then turn around and walk away.”
