Deal or No Deal: Player loses £50,000

Deal or No Deal fans were left saying the same thing after they spotted an obvious clue that led to one player's downfall.

During Friday's (November 22) visit to the ITV stiudios, host Stephen Mulhern welcomed more hopefuls back with their iconic red boxes.

The long-running afternoon show challenges contestants to test their luck and nerve as they decide whether to keep the cash inside a sealed box or accept an offer from the elusive banker.

Sitting in the hot seat today was David who took on the banker in the nail-biting guessing game. After a tough few rounds, David was left with boxes of £10,000, £50,000, and £5,000, along with £50, and £250.

The star left fans reeling when he turned down a generous offer of £8,120 just moments before he dramatically lost £50,000. Now, fans believe they have spotted the moment that his luck ran out.

Fans were quick to cheer the player on, hoping for a lucky outcome.

Stephen Mulhern joked as he spoke to the contestant holding the box with the number 13. "You said Friday the 13th, and you're wearing red. We want you to be so wrong. Show us the blue." But when the box was opened, it revealed the £50,000, leaving fans disappointed.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted the crushing figure was hidden inside box number 13, which has been an unlucky box for many contestants in the past.

Fans were quick to share their suspicions on X - formerly known as Twitter - online, with one person writing: "Oh dear, 13 is unlucky for some today #DealOrNoDeal."

A second person added: "#DealOrNoDeal Zee was right. Friday. 13. Big red" as a third person chimed in: "Oh dear, 13 is unlucky for some today #DealOrNoDeal."

Meanwhile, others were quick to fault the contestant's tactics. One person took to X to write: "There’s no room for gut feelings or emotion in #dealornodeal it’s a numbers game. I mean you have to gamble to win big but like all gamblers, money should mean nothing to you."

A second person wrote: "Yes he had £10K but would you really have wanted to risk losing £4,950? #DealOrNoDeal."

Deal or No Deal was originally hosted by Noel Edmonds from 2005 until 2016. After a revival in 2018, Stephen Mulhern took over as the current host.
